Because they didn’t want to cross streams.
Oh wow. I had to chew on that one for a while. Well played.
Same! If someone needs a hint, best I can do is
Spoiler
Think about Oregon Trail
I’m not sure what dying of dysentery has to do with anything.
I know you were probably joking, but it’s probably the only place I’ve ever heard “ford” used as a verb.
😁
This joke died of dysentery. (Well done)
It works on a few levels… try to cross a stream in a Ford and it’ll stall and break down in the middle of the steam
I guess you could say it’s deep
Could also be a reference to Ford from Hitchhiker’s who doesn’t like water
Who was named after the car. It’s Fords all the way down.
I think it would work a smidge better without the “a”.
Why did the Ghostbusters use a General Motors ambulance for ECTO1 instead of Ford?
Because they didn’t want to cross streams.
I actually think it works better with “a” in it because it gets me thinking about a Ford instead of just Ford. It helps my brain with the word play.
I honestly don’t think in needs the counter GM reference because that gets my brain thinking in the realm of cars, and I didn’t get why a GM would cross streams.
So
Why didn’t the Ghostbusters use a Ford ambulance for ECTO1?
Because they didn’t want to cross streams.
I love how this has morphed into a writers workshop and really do appreciate the constructive dialogue.
And yes, that wording flows better than my original stream of consciousness.
Yep, much cleaner.
