As other states move away from native forest logging, Tasmania's public forestry company adds another 1,000 hectares including in the Tarkine region which conservationists say should be given national park status.

    How the hell do we still allow logging of native Forrests? I have elived in older qlders made of hardwood and it’s a crying shame to know how many trees have been felled for crappy housing, let alone the old railway sleepers rotting all over Australia. Hundred year old trees felled, environments destroyed, all for a few dozen years of use.
