Authorities are urging residents to prepare to leave as two fires burn in bushland about 50 kilometres south-west of Brisbane.
The fires are burning at Flagstone, near Jimboomba, and Mundoolun, Birnam and Veresdale Scrub near Beaudesert.
Helicopter crews are water-bombing at Mundoolun, where a large fire is burning at Eugenie Court and travelling towards King Coolum Reserve.
Queensland Fire Emergency Services (QFES) said no properties near Beaudesert were at risk, but issued a Watch and Act declaration for residents at about 2.30pm.
QFES said the fire would “likely impact the community later today” and residents near the Undullah Nature Reserve and the Railway Line, including Flagstonian Drive, should prepare.
Residents who plan to leave should pack a bag with a mobile phone charger, enough clothes for five days, important documents, medicine, cash and keys, QFES said.
