Making an informed purchase is important.

When looking for these products, they never specify what their contents are. Yet, I am a very heavy suspicion they are just isopropyl alcohol.

    Isopropyl alcohol will ruin your monitor.

    They’re just water and a mild detergent that’s safe for the materials that monitors are made of. Or, just use a damp rag.

    No, alcohol is pretty likely to damage the coating on your display. You’re not far off though. They’re basically just water.

    Just use distilled water. You can get it from the store and put it in a spray bottle if that makes it easier to use.

    No they aren’t using isopropyl alcohol. It’s mainly water, a really low concentration of some sort of alcohol and a detergent. (at least the one I have)

    Alcohol, Windex, lens cleaners all will ruin your monitor and many screens. Distilled water + a lint-free/microfiber cloth is all you need to clean your screens
