Can we do something about all these communities that are exactly the same in all but name? There’s no reason to have 15 communities about bdsm or Latex fetish or fuckin FUTA/trans.
I’m not hating on anyone’s preferences but we shouldn’t have multiple communities that have the exact same content but with a dumb twist to the name.
We are in an early start with a lot of communities. So I have to agree to @NPC@lemmy.world, the time will show which are the bigger one. But I also think, it make also sense to just contact the community mods to check if their is a way to put communities together and to operate together. Many mods probably just started because they haven’t found what they were looking for yet. I myself had a bit of a hard time with one or the other search, which is getting much better since more communities and content are available. Maybe that’s why there were accidentally more communities than intended.
