It just opens to a blank white screen.
EDIT: Fixed by deleting and reinstalling app.
I see you reinstalled the app. There is a possibility that your Lemmy instance was unavailable due to maintenance causing the problem. Then it became available again while you reinstalled, making it look like the reinstall fixed it.
It was a pure white screen. I have multiple accounts across different instances. I was unable to even switch to a different account. The entire app crapped out.
It’s working fine for me. I’m on iphone X and iOS 15.5 though
What os and device?
iOS 12 Pro
Installed form appstore or testflight? What version is it? Do you have enough free space on your phone? What IOS version is it running?

You might have to turn off its section in the LockDown mode menu if you’re on iOS and have LockDown on.
