I live in NYC and my son attends public school. The availability of food to all children just feels right. I know that means my taxes are higher than they would be otherwise, but nutrition is so damn important to a child’s development.
This isn’t welfare. This is caring for children. I’m sure this jackass has a “keep Christ in Christmas” sticker somewhere.
That’s the thing, taxes would be lower if it was spent on society, education, healthcare, infrastructure, etc instead of stadiums and police. This is proven fact, not some ethical debate.
