Like if someone hits a personal milestone or a century ride and wants to share?

I don’t do trackerware social apps any more. I haven’t checked in many years but I held at least a half dozen major KOMs at one point. I kinda got turned off to strava after seeing what it did to mountain biking. Like road stuff can usually be pretty safe for most people, but when someone is going all out on mountain with no sense of responsibility, people get hurt, especially hikers and new riders. I saw a lot of that and didn’t care for it.

KOMs are “King Of (the) Mountain,” it is a fake internet points award for anyone recording the fastest time through a segment of a trail or path. Users create the segments using the data from their ride. Then Strava shows all the other riders that have traveled through this segment and their times. This incentivizes riders to get the best times on the most popular segments they ride through that also feature a lot of other riders with competitive times.
