That is an awful idea. Walking around in public is the wrong use case for the thing, anyway, since it’s basically a VR monitor. It’d be like walking around with an open laptop.
But with it as it is, if the wire gets caught on something, the headset gets yanked (possibly breaking it), and/or the wire comes out of the battery pack, with the same result as if they’d also used USB-C for the headset connector.
