I can tell you I can see much better with green light than red light, I tried it myself…

FWIW, the combination of Red plus Green is the Best for tracking blood. Neither Red alone, nor Green alone, can do that.
There was a big discussion without a clear conclusion on CPF back in the day, but I think that was before 660nn red less in flashlights were really a thing. It could be interesting to find a link. I can’t look for it myself right now unfortunately.
