    I like some of the angles they used while filming, especially once the 3rd character showed up. It really emphasizes how big and tall these trucks are and what they do to sightlines and visibility. Many adults would be completely hidden if that truck was parked on a street near a crossing.

    What a fucking pansy - who ever heard of a real man having a work laptop. Personally, I commute on the subway every day with my employer assigned server mainframe.

    Some men buy big trucks for the same reason some men buy sports cars or super cars, expensive luxury cars or classic cars. They’re signifiers. They signify a man’s masculinity and status, depending on how masculinity is defined in their culture. In some cultures, a big, powerful truck represents masculinity, in other cultures, where masculinity is more about wealth and class, it can be represented by a very expensive car. Cars have been used as signifiers by men pretty much from the beginning.

      Except half these people dont have proper income to justify the expense. So in practice most are poorer than they other wise would be.
