I came across this site which has lot of interesting looking places for people looking for a short trip into nature. A lot of tiny houses, cabins in bushland etc. I haven’t used the site so can’t endorse it, but it looks like there are a bunch of interesting places there.

There are a lot of places which are quite close to Melbourne which would be great for just a night or two away. Some are on farms too, so if you want the opportunity to pat a donkey or see a cow close up this could be your chance!

Some of these must be having a laugh.

$450 to sleep in a dome that isn’t much more than a big tent.

$189 to stay in a caravan that’s probably only worth what it’d cost to stay there a week.

      Others looked cool , though.

Having just been looking at the cost to stay overnight at Wilson’s Prom lighthouse I think my idea of a fair price has been skewed upwards. Plus absolutely everything seems to be priced way higher than I think is reasonable at the moment.
