Unless you watch these random videos that pop up things like my yt feed that always suggest the there is anarchy in NY, with everyone and every business leaving due to riots and looting constantly happening. Then you might believe crime is on the rise.
Never clicked on one of those videos or decided to open one in newpipe because I don’t care and highly doubt there could be that much trouble without it being breaking news.
Is it down? I thought it was basically unchanged.
Maybe depending on your starting point. What years are you comparing?
For police staffing it’s been going down since the George Floyd protest No one wants to be a cop any more. This one doesn’t give years but it says 5% over the last couple years. The change is bigger in larger more liberal cities. Chicago is down 13% since 2018 , san francisco which inspired this meme is down 20% since 2017 and all the mayoral candidates are falling over themselves to say they’ll solve it even though crime is down.
For crime I was referring to the decline since the post pandemic peak.

And is sharing the crime reporting of crime down?
