I don’t understand this attitude at all… Some people are better off staying on Reddit IMO
Seems for the best. I prefer to not talk to people who make posts that all include “lol” or “lmao”.
I wish I had the know-how to make a chrome extensions that would turn all instances of “lol” on a page into a picture of a TIE Fighter, play the iconic flyby sound when the picture is moused over and exploded when clicked.
That’s been my dream for a couple of years now.
I could actually do that! Haven’t written a browser extension, but the JS to do so would be fairly straightforward…
You’d be my hero if you did…

Well, the attitude is bad but they’re not completely wrong in principle.
I mean, if you’re really dissatisfied with reddit you quit using it, as many of us have done already.
Either you’re actively participating in the protest with “malicious compliance” or you stop giving them traffic.
Posting there just to complain about it doesn’t make sense.
You can help those migrating away from Reddit.
After years of limiting my engagement there I’ve spent the last two weeks cleaning house to prepare a complete exit, with GDPR as the nuclear option.
