    Sounds good in theory im sure, but as someone who is on day two of lemmy, (lemmee… lemme?..idk.) half of what you said is gibberish to me. lol.

      • federated: Describes a system that works like email. Users join servers, which talk to other servers and allow their users to talk to each other.
      • instance: One particular server. I’m using Lemmy.ml. Your instance is lemm.ee
      • defederated: An action a server can take to stop talking to another server, preventing its users from interacting with the defederated server.

      Hope this clears some stuff up.
