Example:
In America, recently came across “back-petal”, instead of back-pedal. Also, still hearing “for all intensive purposes” instead of “for all intents and purposes”.
I always liked this situation with “uncouth”. Why don’t we use the word “couth” - I tried to bring it into usage but it didn’t stick!
