Wow, that’s nuts. Expecting a sailboat to stop on a dime is enough of an ask on its own. What do you do, drop anchor and hope for the best? “Yes sir, let me turn on my reversers” and then you run to grab a hand-held battery operated fan.
What a bunch of buzzkills. In fairness though, you could’ve been terrorists or pirates. You can never be too safe in domestic waters. “Why did you run?” as you try to explain the concept of a race.
I don’t boat, don’t have a boat. On occasion I will motorboat but that’s a little different. Now you’ve got me thinking…
