Summary
Trump has repeatedly “joked” about seeking a third term, while making concerning moves toward authoritarian control.
He’s installed loyalists at the Justice Department (Bondi), intelligence services (Gabbard), FBI (Patel), and military (Caine).
His recent military purge removed six senior officers including those who determine legal orders.
These actions give Trump personal control over legal, intelligence, and military systems—potentially enabling him to declare martial law or invoke the Insurrection Act to bypass constitutional term limits.

He was never joking. What is it going to take for people to take him seriously?
They have to be personally affected by his actions. Good news is he’s speed running this.
The bad news is even those personally affected aren’t all going to suddenly call a horse a horse. A good number of them will removed and whine about him hurting the wrong people while being blissfully unaware that if someone got caught lying, it’s not the first lie but just the first one that they found out about.

He’s such a disgusting disappointment. A dangerous idiot given too many powerful toys.
Here’s a lot of things but not a disappointment. Everybody with two functioning brain cells knew exactly what he is and everything is turning out exactly as predicted. Anyone who is disappointed by this has been wilfully ignorant until now.
He’s a disappointment as an American President. A disappointment as a human being. didn’t vote for him. I knew what he was and is.
When this is all over. One way or another. And the dust has settled. Please remember that even moderate republicans supported him.
Statistically, he is likely to be president for the rest of his life.

I sure hope when Trump said he wants to be president for life that his monkey’s paw curled a finger. Ideally, this would leave only the middle finger upright.
Is this monkey’s paw taking suggestions for cause of death? If so, might I nominate, “death on the toilet?” It just seems appropriate for Trump.
Let him be president for life, if he agrees to have a very short life left. Then sure, it would be good news actually.

He could be president for life and still only do two mandates of 4 years, well the second mandate could even be shorter!
