I’m officially on Linux!
Installed Linux Mint, still doing some customization and whatnot, but it’s working so far. Well, it’s not the first time I’ve used Linux, of course, but it’s the my first time actually committing to daily-driving it.
We’ll see how this goes, hopefully well…
How are things so far?
Very good! No major hiccups; barely any hiccups at all.
I’ve noticed a significant improvement in performance. I don’t game much, for what it’s worth.
The only hassle has been my mouse… I don’t even notice anymore, but I can’t get Bluetooth to work. Bluetooth works very well with my headphones (no more weird volume bugs or weird connect/disconnect stuff like in Windows) but it just won’t connect to my mouse. I have one of those USB connectors for it so it doesn’t really matter, but it’s weird… Admittedly, I find the likelihood that this issue is the mouse’s fault to be rather high.
Otherwise, it’s basically the same. Haven’t really had trouble with any application or service. Definitely a huge improvement overall.
Been doing the same with open suse, for some reason my track pad will disable its self but it’s been great. Good luck 🤞
