I hear it all the time. They’ll tell you that if the Dems win it’s only ‘harm reduction’ because it’s not destroying capitalism completely. They will tell you that the New Deal doesn’t count as progress because it stopped the real revolution from taking place. What they won’t explain is why the revolution seems further and further away every day.
They also refuse to grapple with the reality that if their “Glorious Revolution” does happen then a significant amount of people are going to die in the disruption. As someone living below the poverty line caring for multiple disabled family members I don’t appreciate being told that my family and I should literally risk starving to death because they can’t be bothered to do the bare minimum.
Heard this story a while back.
There was a really strong Socialist movement at one particular campus. People were really fired up. One Thanksgiving vacation a few of the more ardent supporters decided to do a quick training exercise. They figured they’d camp out over the holiday; four days of mild exercise to kick start the vigorous training.
They were supposed to come back Sunday night; they came back Saturday evening.
Yes and a lot of those people will the ones who supported the revolution. After all, revolution, like Saturn, devours her children.
Wonder how many leftists have voted for Trump. E.g. Zizek said he would have voted fro Trump, for accelerationist reasons.
