    You probably associate it with fireworks. Think of how the air smells after setting off a battery of fireworks, that’s gunpowder.

    Unburnt, not sure actually. But burnt smokeless gunpowder smells mildly sulfur-y, while black powder smells very sulfer-y, like an egg.
