You know that feeling you can get towards the end of a REALLY long day, when things just haven’t been going your way? That feeling of just wanting to get the day over with so you can get home to rest and you might even be taking some shortcuts to make the last part of the day go a bit easier?
Well, we pilots can get that same feeling but in our line of business, THAT can quickly become very dangerous as we will see in todays episode, stay tuned!

This was a horrible accident brought on by the meat industry and capitalism.
Just to be clear, I strongly disagree with the notion of “the pilots were complicit in the slaughter of animals so they deserved it.” Which I have already seen comments to this effect elsewhere. First of all that’s a really uncompassionate way of looking at it when vegans claim to be more compassionate than meat eaters. Second, commercial pilots don’t get to choose what they fly. Some of the higher up ones might be able to dodge doing the “cow flight” by having more authority in their roster scheduling, but it was the airline’s decision to do these flights so they’re going to force either one pilot or another to do it. You can condemn the airline, the UK regulators, and the other involved organizations and I think they absolutely deserve it, but I don’t think the pilots deserve any of that hate.
I personally don’t blame the pilots, but to address your point on compassion, I think there’s a bit of a chasm in severity between needlessly killing animals and hurting someone’s feelings.
