I always browse trailers for new movies and shows, and I’ve noticed recently that I’ve been getting a lot of ads for trailers I think are for animated movies, but are actually for comic books. Anyways, I find it so weird and a bit annoying. Is a video trailer really a good way to market a book?

I don’t go out of my way to watch comic book trailers and when they do come across my way I’ll normally just scroll past it. That being said I do like that they exist.
I’m guessing they’re hoping they’ll pull in readers by marketing them in a similar way to the movies they share titles with. Especially if it’s a #1 that seems approachable to someone who’s never read comics.
