    Fbxl.net has been up since 2006. Before that it was qbxl.net (but I lost the domain – oops). Before that, it was hosted on a variety of free hosts going back to about 1999 in one form or another.

    If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that even permanent stuff is ephemeral.

    The website has been so many places, but it’s been around in different versions, and they weren’t the same. Besides that, I’ve had at least 6 different forums. I recently had to go back and get rid of dead links to other websites that no longer exist, including things like an old yahoo blog.

    I’ve also written novels and novels on an old reddit account (or six) I since deleted because Reddit was getting scary, and there’s even more.

    Anyone who thinks the internet is forever hasn’t been on the internet long enough.
