Democracy without smart checks like that is begging to be abused. Seems like a good way to increase turnout. But still…

If you want more people to vote in municipal elections, sync them with the major elections that draw people’s interest. That much makes sense. But they should have shortened a term, not lengthened one, to get them synced.

Increase turn out by cancelling an election makes no sense.
It makes turn out zero.

If you want more people to vote in municipal elections, sync them with the major elections that draw people’s interest. That much makes sense.
But they should have shortened a term, not lengthened one, to get them synced.
