Once these feedback loops thoroughly take off, there will be no stopping the warming. There is enough carbon there to put palm trees and alligators at the North Pole. And maybe a lot worse than even that.
I’m morbidly curious about the downvoter we routinely have in posts like this… cultivated ignorance or religious anti-reality?
Or maybe they just don’t like platforms that promote Nazis. Who knows. I wouldn’t worry too much about it.
Does Lemmy provide that kind of fidelity in terms of who is specifically upvoting and downvoting? I’m not suggesting doing anything with that information but, as you say if it’s only a handful of individuals, would the mods be able to see who?
