Independent MP Jeremy Corbyn has called for the British government to investigate reports that the former UK prime minister, David Cameron, threatened the International Criminal Court (ICC) chief prosecutor Karim Khan.
Middle East Eye reported in June that on 23 April 2024, then-British foreign secretary Cameron privately threatened Khan that the UK would defund and withdraw from the ICC if it issued warrants for Israeli leaders.
Earlier this month, French newspaper Le Monde also reported that Cameron threatened the prosecutor with Britain’s withdrawal from the ICC.
Please point out the part where I am wrong. He is an ultra nationalist and not in a good way, he let lies from the conservatives go by without challenge because he thinks leaving the EU was a good idea. He let the country devastate its own economy.
When someone asks a question generally the onus is on you to defend your position, not the other way around.
Corbyn is a socialist, he thinks leaving the EU was a good idea because the EU is a neo-liberal capitalist market which entrenches capitalism in Europe and blocks socialist policy.
I voted to stay in the EU but from a purely theoretical perspective I can understand Corbyn’s reasoning.
He didn’t want to leave the EU for opportunism dressed as national bravado (Boris), for disaster capitalism (Rees-Mogg), or for ultra-nationalist racism and bigotry (Farage).
You can disagree with his position but at least understand why you disagree with it before getting hot under the collar.
I disagree with virtually every position he holds other than the broad strokes. He claims to be liberal but has pretty strong ties with Russian and Serbian nationalists, which doesn’t track.
