UnitedHealthcare sued The Guardian on Wednesday for defamation, claiming the British daily ran information it knew to be incorrect in order to “capitalize” on its CEO’s assassination.
Yeah they used to be a period of time about 25 - 30 years ago when they didn’t exactly proofread their articles, and occasionally spelt their own name incorrectly. Hence the ongoing discworld gag.
But these days they’re not too bad. They are certainly less of a rag than anything owned by Murdoch, which admittedly is not a particularly high bar, but that’s their main competition.
