Yep. I don’t want to flood the !fediverse with news. But I feel like the community themselves can make the community great or not. Mods should have a light hand unless absolutely nessessary.

If you look at !fediversenews@piefed.social you see that it wasn’t that active either, the main poster was @Sunshine@piefed.ca who stopped posting there after a previous power trip from the same mod.
!fediverse@piefed.social also has flairs that @Snoopy@tarte.nuage-libre.fr spend time settinp up, including a “News/Update” one that people can filter out on Piefed if they wish to
Maybe I was thinking of one if the Lemmy ones? I remember one community is getting slammed with news articles and drowning out any real discussion. But hey I’ll keep this up and see if people use it.
