Australia could cover a tenth of a percent of the otherwise completely useless outback in solar farms and have enough solar power to supply the country. Short of the Sahara desert, literally the best place on the globe to generate PV power.
Fucking wankers.
We do work at a couple of coal fired plants, and they are falling apart. Everything is old, everything is bandaid fixed, everything for the past decade has been getting run down because there was the expectation it was about to be shut down.
It’s going to result in a fortune being spent unnecessarily. Which is usually Liberal policy.
Got an archive link? I am NOT subscribing to that rag.
But on the headline alone:

“Coal will remain part of the state’s generation mix for decades and the former Labor government’s decision to close coal units by 2035 regardless of their condition is officially abolished today – ultimately, that position was unrealistic, captured by ideology and fundamentally dishonest,”
I’d rather be ‘captured by ideology’ of people that care about the planet than corporate interests, mate.
Fucking hell.
Confirmation of the energy source extension was ridiculed by conservation groups and welcomed by the coal industry.
Because of course it was. He did say he would be the ‘miner’s best friend’ prior to election, and the dumbfuck electorate still voted them in. I weep for this country.
Heads up, the OP (ikt/eyekaytee) is extremely racist towards Aboriginal Australians and Muslims, as well as being a Zionist who supports the genocide in Gaza.
What does that have to do with the topic at hand?
