I have spent hours and hours of my life engaging with these stupid machines and trying to get myself to like them because I know they’re only going to get more everywhere over time and it’s obviously bad for my mental health to fucking hate this stupid fucking technology so much, I know they are in fact useful for a ton of shit, hell, I’ve even begrudgingly used them to dig through erratz unorganized databases many times.

In fairness to cursive, some kind of cursive was the standard form of handwriting for basically all English writings up until probably the 2000s - it is legitimately very useful for anyone who might have to dig through old documentation or letters. And handwriting is an important skill to build, cognitively speaking, it has lots of second order benefits.
Definitely a less important skill than ability to actually understand computers, these days, but it does have its uses and if everybody forgot how to do it a lot of old stuff would suddenly require specialists to decipher - we’re basically halfway there already, people of my generation often have to kick cursive up to older people because we were never taught it.

Yes, at bare minimum I agree with you - I am bigender myself, by the way, though definitely a trans woman first - but overall when picturing the whole situation it really seems to me like she was partially in the closet, the fact that she was in the military and was raised in a weird christian cult makes that idea, at least to all the trans women I’ve personally told about this, even more clear and obvious.

One can engage in transphobic behavior without being transphobic as a person. As I said, internalized transmisogyny is not uncommon.
For the record, every single trans woman I’ve ever told about Lilly’s accounts and situation immediately identified her as a trans woman that was partially in the closet, as is very common for us especially when we’re in situations where we cannot feasibly transition.
Trans people are very capable of being transmisogynistic - it’s not like internalized misogyny is very uncommon, so why would internalized transmisogyny be?

Okay I know it’s weird to reply to a comment after 2 years, but I actually have an answer for this now.
According to a friend of mine with EDS, she thinks it’s very likely I have something similar going on, though maybe at a subclinical level. One of the lesser known effects of that is temperature sensitivity, so, that’s probably part of the puzzle in my case.
Caveat - I haven’t been able to find a doctor for a while, so I haven’t actually been subject to any examination or diagnosis.
