Don’t worry, I’m sure that judge will recognize the impropriety and recuse himself, right? …… right?

And then there’s those Haitian immigrants …
That’s excellent. No matter who wins, no matter why people vote how they do, it’s great to see so much participation!
I used to live in a townhouse and no one would bother going along the row. Finally we got together with other residents and set up a table in the parking lot next to the street. That was a lot of fun hanging out with the neighbors all evening, handing out candy
Pre-COViD we used to take out the screen in our storm door (and after put in glass for winter). It really freaked some people out when we reached through to hand out candy! Even better when someone didn’t keep a good hold on the dog and he leaped through! Of course today I have a pit bull instead of mini poodle so that wouldn’t go over as well
I recently watched Hunter-Killer, and one of the good guys was killed while swimming underwater and the bullets kept coming. They did it right at least in that sense
Plus if it’s military, it’s usually the shrapnel that kills you, not the shockwave. Fuel-air devices are a different story
Only the “speed force” or maybe Pym Particles can counteract inertia like that
Current robots are better when designed for a specific job, but that means only corps with enough scale can afford robots
What about much smaller companies that can’t afford to design and build a robot for a specific task? There are thousands of these companies, doing things at smaller scale so not able to automate. However a robot with similar capabilities to a human, that could be trained like a human, and doesn’t cost like an industrial robot, can fill in for a human at all of these companies
My corp has been very skeptical and suspicious. So far the only allowed ai is to summarize slack. For channels that I want to keep in the loop but not waste time monitoring, it creates a nice summary of recent traffic.
I was trying to help one guy who used an online ai despite it being against policy. However he was just using it as a search engine to find a code solution and it took way too long to give him the wrong answer. A search engine would have been faster but he’d have to use his own judgement to identify the wrong answer. Pretty arrogant guy despite not knowing what he was doing, so I didn’t fight it when he insisted he was going to follow what it told him
Voyager wasn’t written in JavaScript, to Web 2.0
It’s like burning plastic. It’s toxic garbage destroying their lungs but somehow addicting
Like all to much of modern politics, a movie would fail miserably because no one would believe the insanity. Movies have to be plausible or logically consistent.
Maybe if you positioned it that way, like Silence of the Lambs, or A Clockwork Orange ….
I live about ten miles outside the nearby city.
However my town has a train station. From my neighborhood of single family homes, I can walk about 20 minutes, or a bus drives by regularly to get me to the town center which includes the train station
I’m certainly not rural, but there’s no reason my scenario can’t apply to 80% of the population if more cities/towns were designed for it.
And this is in the US
Like just a couple days ago when Sanders stood up for Harris about the Gaza situation?
Seriously, he’s another Republican I’d trust to actually want to do the right thing even if I disagree on how.
Interesting parallel to us in Massachusetts with Romney. A blue state electing a Republican governor and generally being happy with it. Also you wouldn’t expect much from an actor or vulture capitalist, but they deliver
this is a national security issue.
In some ways, SpaceX delivered too well.
NASA has been trying to find multiple launch providers but where are they? This is probably not the risk reduction they were going for but it is exactly risk that can be reduced by having multiple providers. However SpaceX succeeded well enough to dominate the field, worldwide
Where are Bozos and those other guys? Where even is ULA? Where’s that payback on NASA funding?
Damn, we don’t have enough zeros for that. That’s more like the Russian fine against Bozos
No. I’m entirely agreeing that there is one person threatening violence here and he deserves to be arrested.
However I’m disagreeing with people here jumping to all sorts of craziness calling him a nazi and child murderer. I suppose he could be and hope that’s investigated by the officers that should arrest him, but it’s not supported by anything we see
Not at all, I entirely agree there is one person threatening violence and he should be arrested.
I’m trying to say the lemmings calling him a nazi and him murdering children are out of line. I mean, it could be true but we see nothing here to support that
I used to work with a Millie - it was difficult to resolve such a cute name with such a competent engineer. Maybe it shows my biases but I feel like she had to overcome her name
