It’s idiotic that residential faucets got away from the seal and seat combination , it was infintly better than all the modern junk currently available. Commercial faucets still use them.

I won’t stop but the problem is they have become so conditioned they actually need to be deprogrammed before it can sink in .
Been boycotting a few of those since their inception and the others for 15 + years. I talk with people about how bad walmart,target , Amazon are for our area and local business when they opine about the “good old days” and they say " wow, yeah your right , wow . But I can order a charger for my cell phone and have it at my door tomorrow".
Most people are just receivers for advertising at this point. It’s scary

I found a VHS player at a second hand shop and got into buying and watching VHS before the pandemic and it was actually relaxing. Even with DVD/Blu ray I can’t get as immersed as I was with watching VHS. I would know that at night I was going to watch D.A.R.Y.L and just kick back and not get off the couch. It was a whole thing…power surge fried my player and haven’t found another one yet
