Beryl@lemmy.worldto Fuck Cars@lemmy.world•Nobody takes a train from Germany to FranceEnglish3·2 months agoYup, Germany needs better highspeed railways. It only takes 1h45 from Paris to Strasbourg which is roughly halfway between Paris and Berlin. So the whole trip could potentially be under 4h downtown to downtown.

Maybe something is lost in translation along the way.

How big a threat was that? According to USASpending, Inter-Con has $209 million in government contractors currently.

That’s the arm twist the US use to forbid them from selling to some countries. But if the Orange One insists on isolationism and full on trade war, that destroys a lot of incentives for ASML to honor the patents system.

The vertical green bars are the only times in Earth's history with enough oxygen to breathe (hypoxia) and low enough to avoid oxygen toxicity (hyperoxia).English3·1 year agoThe partial pressure of oxygen in the Apollo 1 capsule was about 16.7 PSI.
I had always assumed they just compensated with oxygen pressure to match atmospheric partial oxygen pressure, but I checked and indeed you’re right, but it was only that high an oxgen pressure for testing purposes on the ground. Once in flight, they would have dropped it to 5 PSI. It also makes sense as to why that Apollo 1 fire was so violent. Thanks for that learning opportunity ! :)
