I don’t think the original source for this exists anymore. I think I found it last year. But the account I suspect to be the artist has been deleted since then.
Most stuff on here doesn’t have to be content warned. The warning is for assuming the gender of the viewer not for the target audience for the meme. For example, a meme saying “you are a girl” needs a CW while a comic about a girl saying how much she loves being a girl doesn’t. The posts needing those warnings are fairly rare.
I don’t think I’ve seen anything that would need the other CW posted here to begin with.
I’m also not a very active moderator. I’m only checking here about once a day and I’m usually more concerned with comments since that has historically been where the issues have been. This community doesn’t have a lot of activity and has largely been supplanted by others on this server.
They are just AC units in reverse. The biggest effect humidity is going to have is on how much condensation is going to form on the exterior radiator. That’ll form frost that’ll have to be melted in a defrosting cycle. That’ll decrease performance and efficacy. Low humidity should keep that to a minimum.
That’s a possibility. I would be concerned that the false positive rate is so high compared to the rate of actual CSAM that the FBI would just block anyone using this for reporting as spam.
What might be done is to track the detection rate of users. If anyone is significantly higher than the average they might be uploading CSAM. Only issue I see with this is the detector doesn’t have an equal false positive rate across all content. It could be that the user just uploads pictures of their kids playing at the park a lot.
A 1% false positive rate is probably going to be to high to reliability report every positive to the FBI. The rate of actual CSAM is likely to be much lower than this. If it’s 1 in 10,000 uploads, you will have 100 false positives and 1 true positive.
I love this one too. I do wonder how my past-selves would react to me. There was definitely some internalized transphobia I had to deconstruct in my realization. I’m not sure how I would of reacted if I was forced to confront my trans-ness before I was ready.
This might be my favorite version of this trope. The knowing look from the future-self. The nervous confusion from the past-self.
Yes, why waste so much time trying to prosecute obviously protected expression?
Straight shooter is an idiom meaning honest and straightforward or direct. Super is acting as an intensifier. Combined it means they are extremely honest and direct.
They’ll just keep giving you shots of Ambien until you stop.
I think women’s leagues have their place still. Or some kind of system to encourage more women into chess. There’s currently 15.7k men with titles and only 4k women with titles. Until those numbers get closer I would want to see some kind of action taken.
If you want to get radical with women’s league you can just have the requirement for them to declare that you are a woman. It can quite literally be a checkbox on a forum when registering. Social pressure will take care of most of the issues. The edge case of men regesterioin bad faith can be handled on a case by case basis.
The gendered leagues exist to promote women in chess. They need to do this because women have historically been discriminated against. These new rules feel like they are asking trans women to prove they are oppressed enough to deserve to play in women’s leagues.
Some of the requirements for the change in status is problematic as well.
That is a hard requirement to meet in large chunks of the world. Many countries don’t legally recognize gender change so it may be quite literally impossible to comply with “national laws and regulations.” There’s some carve out for asylum and refugee status. But it is possible to be a trans woman in a country, not be able to legally change your gender, and not feel unsafe enough to seek asylum.
I’m reading more on the titles now. So from the actual FIDE document:
And from what [FIDE titles]https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/FIDE_titles) are on Wikipedia. It seems there is an underlying misogyny in how women’s titles work. It seems to me the proper solution is to get rid of the separate title requirements.
analysis of individual cases that could take up to two years.
They are already getting ready to drag their feet. The other policies announced here aren’t much better. In particular:
Holders of women’s titles who change their genders to male would see those titles “abolished,” the federation said
There’s no reason for that. What does transitioning have to do with past titles. It all reeks of transphobia.
That’s why the step grandfather’s plan failed. If he had just left it alone Moki Awa would only be able to build a straight log cabin. But with all the skills gained from attempting to “man the queer” out of them, they are now able build the gayest non-straight log cabin.
My go to with all projects like this is if it worth it if ends up it’s just you doing it for yourself. 99% of these projects attract no one but their creators.
So if you want to make a wiki for your own reference or to be able to link to in relevant conversation or for whatever reason you want to for yourself, and accept that no one else may not contribute or even care, go for it. If you just want this to exist but not put in the effort, you are probably better off seeing if someone else is doing something similar.
I don’t know, might want to do a double-blind peer-reviewed study to make sure
