I understand the sentiment, but that could cause more issues than it solves. Cars then would be forced to compete for space with bicycle again,only this time on all bicycle roads. Or houses could not have car access at all, if you’d narrow the streets.

I agree with your point that digital media influences and transformed the way we interact whith each others, and I believe there are studies indicating that young people feel more isolated, which could be a causality of rising smartphone usage.

And I agree, that this needs to be addressed, especially in the face of addiction. The way the french policy handles this though is to create an insentive for people to stay inside, because there they can still use their devices without being questioned or judged, further singleing those out, who already struggle in public using their phone as a lifeline.

The questions that need to be asked here is why people are so eager to use digital devices? Because they are developed in a way to make the user addicted.

First off, the way this is discribed is an intrusion on a way of life/ peoples behaviour, and I personally feel it crosses a line.

banning adults and children from scrolling on their devices while walking down the street, while sitting with others on a park bench, while in shops, cafes or eating in restaurants and while parents wait for their children in front of the school gates. Those who might check their phone’s map when lost are instead being encouraged to ask for directions.

What should drive a discussion about digital media are the following questions:

• Why are young people and children especially drawn to digital devices?
• How does peer pressure affect parents’ choices when buying a mobile device for their kids? (e.g.: children being bullied in schools for not owning a smartphone)
• Why are people becoming addicted to digital technology?
• Which design choices are developers making to make software addicting? How can we stop that from happening?
• How can an addicted person be supported? … and probably many more that I can’t think of right now

The policy doesn’t address any of these. Worst case scenario it communitcates to addicted people that their behaviour is unacceptable, creating an unneccessary additional burden.

I quit drinking alcohol as well and looking back on parties and major celebrations I started asking myself if some of the guests were unable to control their alcohol consuption/ were addicted. A few candidates come to mind.

So wouldn’t it be sensible to rule out alcohol at all* to protect those who can’t protect themselves, without confronting them with the very uncomfortable and intimate questions?

Not sure if this even a beloved game, but Assassins Creed Unity. The setting has so much potential but the story feels so slow and I find it boring, the controls took some frustrating time to get used to and Paris is just not a very visually compelling place to be at. I used to love AC2 but Unity… idk

I am especially interested in your stance on technology and introversion. In which way do introverted children benefit from technology, and technology exclusively? And how would the inability to access technology force them to behave differently?

it’s an indie city builder in which your first goal is to secure the survival of the settlement. Graphics are adorable and retro-ish and the gameplay is challenging. Although it could use a it more polishing and there is some getting used to the games quirks. But it’s quite cheap (~3€) so I feel it’s okay.

Das ist richtig, als Studi hat man schon nette Benefits, aber das heißt nicht, dass ich ohne Ende Geld habe. Ich muss mir jeden Monat auch sehr genau überlegen was drin ist. Der zweite Absatz bezieht sich auf den Normalverbraucher; das hätte ich deutlicher herausstellen können. Und für den sehe ich den Preis einfach als zu hoch angesetzt, gerade wenn die Möglichkeit besteht, dass der weiter steigt.

Ich verfüge momentan noch über den Luxus ein Studiticket zu besitzen und finde es ehrlichgesagt unverschämt, nach 200€ für das Semesterticket monatlich nochmal ~20€ drauf zahlen zu müssen, wollte ich in ganz Deutschland fahren.

Es lohnt sich das sicher in gut Vernetzten Regionen, wenn man viel pendelt und über das nötige Kleingeld verfügt (50€ montl. sind schon ein ordentlicher Preis…). Dazu kommt, dass das Ticket offiziell ja nicht 49-Euro Ticket heißt, weil sich ÖPVN Betreiber das Hintertürchen offen lassen wollten, den Preis anzupassen (Ich rechne eher mit einer Korrektur noch oben). Ich frage mich auch, ob die erhebliche Preisanhebung auch damit zutun hat, die Erschwinglichkeit zu reduzieren und überfüllte Züge wie beim 9€-Ticket zu verhindern, indem man unter anderem finanzielle schwächere Haushalte aussiebt.

Bei McD wär ich misstrauisch. Ich weiß leider nicht, wie trustworthy der Creator ist, aber dass McD ihre Pommes ggf. mit Rindfleischgeschmacksstoffen im Öl frittieren… unangenehm. Söder wollte nach dem deutschen Atomausstieg dafür sorgen, dass Bayern weiter AKWs betreiben darf. Atomenergie ist allerdings Bundes- und keine Ländersache. Hab aber auch schon länger nicht mehr geguckt, was daraus geworden ist.
