This is a quote from the play The Fever by Wallace Shawn. The play depicts a person who becomes sick while struggling to find a morally consistent way to live when faced with injustice, and harshly criticizes the United States’ record in supporting the murder of communists and socialists. The play ends by saying that only blood spilled on their doorsteps will bring the complacent rich to change their selfish ways (which the NYT didn’t like for being too radical).
Wallace Shawn is a socialist, Jewish actor and playwright who has:
No, the joke is that they are getting rid of bourgeois influence in exchange for this stuff.
This is only possible because you can run off into a national park, which is the exact opposite of capitalism.
The issue is that dollars do not make weapons via alchemy, Europe spent shittons of money on of artillery shells to Ukraine, just to raise the price of existing shells without making any more new ones.

They’re basically staffed with a bunch of college MBA’s with no real business experience, whose job is to advise confused CEOs on how to best cut wages and costs to increase profits.
I think this mostly has to do with the extensive use of vegetables cooked in various tasty ways. Western dishes (specifically West European) seem to have very few good techniques to cook vegetables, leading white children to hate veggies. I think this is exacerbated in Britain and their Anglo-Saxon colonies (cue the meme about British food having no seasoning).
Also, proper Asian dishes tend not to actually use much oil. Stir frying only lightly coats the outside of food with oil, very different from western deep frying.

Is this called being a ‘social worker’ in English? If so, I wish you all the best! Social workers are quite mistreated and underpaid in the US despite playing such important roles in the community. I hope you find an org that actually cares about its social workers, and adequately supports you as you help others.
Americans don’t want to call them ‘Latins’ because that might imply some sort of relationship between them and the Romans, and that’s not allowed because they’re from shithole countries, and America is the rightful heir to the Roman throne or whatever.
In America, the terms Latino, Latinx, and Hispanic refer to basically anyone from any country in the Americas that is below the United States, geographically and ‘culturally’. It’s essentially a label Americans use to say, " oh you’re from one of THOSE shithole countries".
The great great grandson of a Spanish conquistador who massacred thousands of indigenous people to claim his own plantation is considered the exact same as the granddaughter of an indigenous person on the receiving end. Both are called Hispanics, making the word an utterly meaningless label.
This is a great policy. This forces Chinese internet companies to provide ways to prevent youth digital addiction, unlike in the West where anything goes.
The parent opt-out policy is a good thing. Some youth may be under special circumstances (esports gamer, mobile developer, etc.).
I didn’t know that the youth gaming policy was also opt-out. Everyone in the west omitted that said that it was mandatory, and that seemed pretty over the top. Since both are opt out, this is a very reasonable policy.
The West blockaded MRI technology to China? WTF does that have to do with national security?
China has plenty of home-grown digital maps that are better than Google Maps when in China (for example Baidu Maps). China has blocked Western companies from being able to use accurate mapping data of the country on grounds of national security and digital protectionism.
It’s quite nonsensical for Westerners to blame China for simply implementing policies to incubate their own tech industry when they use tariffs to do the exact same thing. If China didn’t pass such laws, Google Maps would have a global monopoly on digital maps.
US physicians like the for-profit insurance system because they are paid 2x or more than in single payer systems. For example, I know Canadian physicians who doubled their pay upon moving to the USA. It is a bribe by insurance companies for doctors to be apathetic towards capitalist suffering.
