Second this
Non-cloud cams with an nvr all the way. I won’t touch the cloud based services. My go to is currently Reolink.
This is neat… I just tried “faceting lemmy” and my community came up on top.
This is me almost every morning around 5am… 😭
I found it entertaining but a bit shallow in terms of dialog. It felt aimed at the younger crowd. Don’t get me wrong it was most definitely a fun read.

Me!
Under hobbies, I run a community on gemstone faceting that I’m trying to get some traction on, can you add this to your list?
“Army of Darkness” a movie I still pick up and watch once a year.
Omg, I’m in heaven!
Just checked lostsouls by hitting port 23, 22 players online… a bit sad… I remember when there were at least 100-200 online at once.
LP was the initials of the developer. What was cool about LP muds was the ability to code new areas/weapons/etc directly in the game. You, as a wizard, could create a new area and load the objects and interact with them immediately.

This was totally expected, given the design and par for the course for a first generation product. The yield should increase as the design is refined over several iterations.
I was spending easily 2-4 hours a day scrolling through my feed on Reddit, it impacted me in so many ways that I didn’t see at the time.
Now? I’m enjoying a quick pop in on Lemmy and find myself enjoying my time away from the scrolling for content. I’m enjoying moderating a community and the definite lack of trolls at the moment.
Here’s to hoping this atmosphere continues for the foreseeable future!
1000%!
I actually created a community for a hobby of mine, and have been trying to post and comment more.
This is what I do… find a comfortable position, then start relaxing all of your muscles.
Start with your toes … given them a wiggle and relax them. Slowly move up your body into your torso… then down your arms, and finally your neck and head.
I’m usually out before I get to my arms.
