I’ve never considered using discord as a replacement for Reddit or Lemmy. I use it all the time but for communicating with people I know or have something in common with in different social circles. You’re not wrong but for me it’s like saying pillows suck because they don’t bang in nails properly.
An expensive API.
If I can get regular interactions here around certain topics like Brisbane, Aussie Politics, and ice hockey then not going back will just be a fairly natural profession for me. Yes, I don’t like how they made the API changes but more than that, I’m not going to install their app. Once my 3rd party app of choice stopped working (I use Joey and it’s still free and working for now) I’ll just fall off.
I wonder if the lenient sentence relies on the fact that a) she is genuinely mentally unwell and b) without the people she is about to testify against she can’t organise anything.
