so i startet on kbin.social and lemmy.world, but kbin became shitty and overrun with bots. than i switched to kbin.run and now it seems to be down. No idea what actually happened there. Don’t think i will start a new kbin/mbin account for now. i think i will just stay on lemmy.world for now and not have an alternative instance as backup

It’s beautiful, but there was a good chance to get stuck everywhere in cars without all-wheel drive. In my neighborhood the snow services dont run through to remove the snow from road and parkings, so you have to do it by hand. Took 3 hours to free our house with 2 people and there was not much place left to shovel the snow too. Over night the temperatures dropped to ~ -12°C so everything is frozen now too. Can’t imagine what 70 cm in a day would be like. This was probably the highest single day snowfall i experienced, the only comparable time was i think in 2005

But yeah has been a while since i last saw a white christmas. Nowadays the most snowfall seems to happen in february/march

Das habe ich gesehen, finde aber dadurch ist trotzdem nicht klar, ob die Polizisten das aus Eigeninitiative gemacht haben. Auf einen Aufruf von der Leitstelle würden ja auch Polizisten reagieren die zufällig in der Nähe sind. Ist das Problem mit solchen Artikeln, da werden Informationen weggelassen oder verdreht.

Clickbait Artikel aus ner Klatschpresse. “Passanten rufen Polizei da sie Bauarbeiter für Klimakleber halten” klingt halt nicht so gut. Die Polizei muss halt wenn der Notruf gerufen wird trotzdem kontrollieren.

Aber auch sehr unterhaltsam zu sehen wie feddit gleich die chance nutzt sich über bayern und die polizei lustig zu machen. Im Normalfall zwar gerechtfertigt, hier aber ein Eigentor

in germany most plastic bottles are reused several times through a deposit system and after reaching a limit they are almost completely recycled. Always wonder why other countries can’t seem to be able to use a similar system

Es gibt aber auch ein paar Datenkraken die Websites überwachen. Um dort aber genaue Infos zu erhalten muss man zahlen.

Hier ist aber ein englischer Artikel der einen 20% Rückgang an Besuchen der Seite beschreibt. Die durchschnittliche Besuchszeit und Anzahl ist aber auch um 14% und 8% gesunken.

Falls die Verwirrung durch die unterschiedlichen Auftragungsarten kommt: Mit doppelter y-Achse sieht mit 2 Säulen der Graph in Excel scheiße aus. 2 Linien hingegen ist visuell zu leer. Deshalb die Mischung.

Ja die Daten hät ich auch gerne. Mich hat auch auf der englischen Version von meinem Post der Dev vom Tracker auf einen Fehler hingewiesen.

Die Werte vom 8. und 9. sind leider etwas zu hoch wegen zeitweise doppelten API-Calls pro Minute

yeah you can’t distinguish between bots and humans. But like said in the post, currently the top100 commenting subs only take part in ~10% of the total comments. This would fit with the dead internet theory imo.

But it is also important to note that for this info the comments/day numbers come from two different sources, so it is hard to verify the validity.

The comment numbers of the top100 subreddits are from subredditstats.com, while the total is from the script used by blackout.photon-reddit.com

For subredditstats.com there is no way to see how the data is obtained/tracked.

But the blackout.photon site has its source code available. I just have not enough programming experience to tell if the comments/min number is obtained by a direct api call, or if it calculates the comment ID Delta between each call that it does (it calls the most recent comment each minute).

Die Daten werden auch über die Reddit API erhoben, denk da kann reddit auch schummeln indem es die comment ID oder Post ID überspringt, bzw. einen falschen Wert ausgibt falls es einen call für post/min oder comment/min gibt. Nicht sicher wie der im vorherigen verlinkten sourcecode die Werte genau erhält, ich habe ja nur die bereits gesammelten Daten ausgewertet.

Allgemein hat aber Askreddit am 13.06 2.4% der kompletten Kommentare am Tag ausgemacht. Momentan liegt der Wert auf ~1.5%. Die Top100 kommentierenden Subreddits machen ca 10% von der Gesamtzahl im Moment aus.
