Poverty and discrimination come to mind among others. I my opinion the best way to prevent anything is to hit it at its source, in this case making every day life more livable. I hate christmas and I can’t wait for it to be over. I actually quite like winter, but christmas always comes to ruin it. The whole thing is a sham, no matter what country does it. Stupid half made up traditions aside, I hate people feeling obligated to get me shit and cutting deeper into our already suffering wallets just to keep our fragile system from immediately imploding.

Also European here. And just to bring some more up to date examples.

My colleague bought a nice big flat some 5 odd years ago. If he wanted to buy the exact same thing today, he literally wouldn’t be able to afford it, not even with much worse terms. For the same money he’d need to move to some small dinky house in the countryside.

My aunt bought a flat 7 years ago for almost 1.5 million CZK, and then 2 years later one for 2 mil. Today, they’re both worth at least 10 each.

Income has not grown like that in the past decade. These are arguably successful people that literally wouldn’t be able to recreate their success today, only a few years later. Shit’s going down hill and it’s going down hill fast.

So for me and my GF, buying a house is a pipe dream. We just about manage renting our current flat, which is already cheap, we both earn comfortably above average and she even works overtime often enough. Buying a house or having a child are literally crippling decisions.

How’s this news? That’s literally what MAGA was selling the entire time. The so called “Temporary Hardships”. They promised and they’re going to deliver some economic hardships, that was the sales pitch and people voted for it. Anybody shocked is just not paying attention.

Same here in Prague. When parallel parking, sometimes these cars are so fucking wide, that even tho there’s more than enough space behind em, it’s still impossible to navigate around their fat fucking ass, and by the time I’m finally behind it I’m at a 90 degrees.

America is a cult of suffering. If you aren’t suffering you’re either freeloading or not working enough. Everyone is responsible for them selves, and so “paying for someone else’s healthcare” is an absolute no go.

I fucking hate dodging cyclists, especially when visiting my mom in the country side, single lanes, poor visibility, god forbid it’s summer and everyone’s out fucking cycling. You know where I never had to go around a cyclist? Literally any Dutch city I visited, because bikes lanes are almost completely separate. Driving in the Netherlands is fucking great. Despite the bike infrastructure, drivers aren’t at all compromised. Just look at their highways, shit looks like a copy paste of American highways.

This is what you people sound to me like ever since my trip in the Netherlands:

I’m sick of people making this about some culture war. It’s about freedom of expression. A core principle of the constitution and the human rights charter! A violation of such core principles, will eventually came to bite you too, once trans people, but also immigrants and other minorities are gone and the rich need a new scapegoat. Next will come thought crime, once we all look the same, like in the old days.
