1·7 days agofair, I JUST researched it, but, I only have that drive, where my data is, sooo if I mess up, woops, there goes my system.
I guess I’ll do it if I setup my next computer…?
I think I know how this works with rEFInd, but I haven’t done it because… my drive is a dual-boot so… yeah, unless I get a laptop and install only Linux in 2030 maybe I’ll do it by then… But by then, I might need the extra security anyway.

1·12 days agoOh yeah Bazalansky was doing something with an API rewrite, such a shame that’s inactive, there’s still a lot of broken stuff in Eternity and I had to go to Jerboa temporarily until I can navigate Eternity without it freezing because I pressed on a link that didn’t work

1·14 days agoI know this is like very ‘necroposting’-ish comment, but I searched this up when I was reading up on lemmy-world defederation drama again.
As a (formerly) lemm.ee and now, hexbear/lemmy.zip user I find that it is definitely a mixed bag when it comes to generalist instances like ee and zip, like as the leftist part I wondered why hexbear and lemmygrad were blocked by default, then yeah, I found the threads and posts about that.
I got it unblocked though, but I eventually decided to create one in hexbear, since I realized that it’d probably be better to have a dedicated account to leftist posting, since I want to further my connection to left communities, without having to manage my feed as much (getting like news from .world, shjustworks and grad was interesting) but I found them buried since they had less engagement than the others.
I love my state of intensity and volatility it makes me so productive!!! (Well, I’m exaggerating of course, but you get it)
