  • I’ve owned a bunch of Foscam cameras, a sub-brand owned by Amcrest.

Amcrest and its Foscam sub-brand seem very interested in getting access to your cameras, have less capable and less convenient software, and the cameras themselves seem less well built than Reolink.

I bought a half a dozen V1 Wyze cams, and at least two of them have failed. I won’t touch that brand again. I also would never have used Wyze at all except for the exploit that allowed custom firmware installation for real local access and control.

  • I’ve never been a “main” guy. Always feels like being a mechanic who’s asked what his favorite screwdriver is.

I lean hard toward the caster frames, and don’t go for intentional reliance on shield gating. I also look for weird ways to build, like my Hammer Slammer Wisp, who floats invisibly over the enemies until she slams down, then right back up.

I spend a lot of time with an Overextended Mag with Fracturing Crush. Also a Nyx with a build I call “Bolt Spammer.”

My most used frame is Ivara, though that’s probably because she’s so slow getting through missions. She does trivialize about half of steel path missions though.

Loki is my go to for any mission where I don’t know what will be happening—which mostly means every quest. He totally punked Protea in the Deadlock Protocol! I also use him + Ratka Cernos to hunt Void Angels. They simply have no way to cope with his movement + Invisibility.

The real secret for still being in this game after this long is to play what is fun for you. I don’t chase the meta. My most used weapon is the Dragon Nikana. I love it. Conversely, some of the most loved frames in the games are my least used, because I find them far too boring to play: Mesa, Saryn, Wukong, Chroma… all just sooo boring to me.
