They are phasing out the “clothesline” in new buses here, and every time I ride on a new bus I have to struggle to find a button. The “clothesline” was strictly better.
In French, Putin is called “Poutine” because otherwise his name is a swear word. Poutine happens to also be a regional food from Québec comprised of french fries, gravy, and cheese curds. This is very funny.
I have level 2 autism. I will not understand most of your emoji meanings, or subtle tone use. When in doubt, a tone marker goes a long way.

Was the premise not shown in 2008 film The Dark Knight ?

Every time I see a blog post with a title like this from Mozilla, I have a conversation like this in my head:
Me: You’re changing the tab shape again, aren’t you?
Mozilla: Today, we’re announcing a new— erm, yes, we’re changing the tab shape…
Me: Anything else?
Mozilla: We’re centering privacy settings in—
Me: So nothing new?
Mozilla: Not really…

Wow, that is an immense dash.

I think they’re partially trying to weaponize the fumes, partially trying to use this as a shame vector, given how exposed users will feel.

People say that the Space Race was about “beating the commies”, but conspicuously, rockets are also useful for military ventures. If it were only about proving how great capitalism is, we would have a Rail Race.

Someone remembered the Reddit posts about using dryer lint as a firestarter and had a 💡 moment.
I prefer to use the checkout with a person rather than the computerized one, because now the computer wants to ask me fifteen questions before I’m allowed to pay.
Do you have a bag? Would you like a bag? Do you have a rewards card? Would you like to make a donation to our tax deduction foundation? Are you sure you don’t want to pad our bottom line? How would you like to pay? Did you forget to scan your rewards card? Would you like a receipt?
At least the human workers have ceased to care about what management wants and they no longer ask any of these questions. I just walk up, they scan my items, and they activate the card machine by default. Frictionless.
