You’re not very familiar with 3D printing as a hobby are you.
But yea, it’s probably way worse that the PET you drink your water from.

OMG, Pareto analysis… so sexy.
Oh, I’ll have to check out peertube. Thanks for the information.
I wonder if some form of bit torrent client may be of use here.

I’m not sure what comment to reply to, but I feel obligated to remind people that the sun is a fusion reaction.

Also, just cause they allot the land doesn’t mean they will build it. Now excuse me, while go read the article.
Yea! It’s available on myminifactory.

I am still developing technique but it’s relatively straightforward.
Spray pain on water, then dip the piece. It takes a little practice to start getting some good results. Rotating slowly as you lower it seems to help. Dipping more than once can be a smart idea. Warm water is better than cold water.
Would bumping up your printing temp do anything?

This was printed on a Bambu Lab X1C or P1P, I’ve forgotten which one printed this sculpture. I did use supports.

I use Orcaslicer, it’s manual painting is not intuitive to me. That said, I haven’t much researched how to do manual painting of supports either.
I think it’s the next logical step in my building domain expertise in 3D printing though. It just seems like a leap.
Wow, there are some really in depth and great replies thank you everyone.
Right now for my use cases some of the advantages I see are:
Does anyone have a multi-filament printer? I am not quite sure how this would compare with injection molding, but I am able to get relatively fine color changes on a single part. See picture of an earring that I am prototyping.
Yea, the versatility of 3D printing is a perk. You don’t need to buy a mold just download/create what you need and viola a few hours later its there.
So I rather like the idea of using lemmy to launch products. The sales of linked items to subsidize the costs to maintain the servers could be collected like a tax… Up to and including paying moderators of the server. This would have implications though. Both positive and negative.
I think 1/4 to 1/2 of the American public disagrees.
For what it’s worth, I don’t think we should ever speak his name or acknowledge his existence kinda like shunning and the Amish.
