I just saw a post I think a a week ago about trying cvg, cv, cg and c side by side in the future. I’ve never found a documented side by side with it. Vermiculite makes sense to me since it holds water I haven’t tried it since California says it can contain asbestos in the dust.

Gypsum has always been a mystery ingredient to me. Like why not add it to the spawn if it’s so helpful? I’ve thought about adding lime and making a ph adjusted spawn in the future. I need to get my liquid level consistentcy in the spawn down first.

Calcium and adjusting pH is the best answer I’ve heard so far! Everytime I’ve asked in real life no one seems to know outside of it’s what they have always done. Anyways keep up the good work all your grows look exceptional!

I believe it, some of my harder experiences happened from smaller doses but never mushrooms they have always been nice to me. I think my favorite thing about them is how short the experience is, by the time things get overwhelming the trip is usually almost over.

Thanks for sharing im interested in your future gypsum experiments, I’m pretty convinced it doesn’t do or add anything but I’ve never tried using it, coir by itself is so simple. I haven’t ever found a proper side by side of cvg vs just coir.
