Engaging is fine. They are right about a lot of people not wanting to see furry porn on All. its the hostility of how they started that irked me. I would have been more than happy to have a conversation with them about it.
Also as someone who moderates a few communities here as well I agree with a lot of what you said.
I’ve encountered plenty of porn on All that I didn’t like. I blocked the community and moved on like an adult.
Except you didn’t by bothering to comment in the first place. Get better social skills and learn when and where to share your opinion, Its not hard. Good riddance.
I seriously don’t get it haha. Like you’re browsing all, you’re gonna see something you don’t like. Block it and move on. No one in that community cares that you don’t like it so why comment. That is the second person I’ve had this “discussion” with here recently.
Yea, the ability for individual users to block instances as a whole is really needed to stop this from becoming a thing that just happens frequently. Strength is definitely still in federation and people are going to get annoyed with having to have multiple accounts because their instances keep defederating from each other.

My Drow Warlock has been a ton of fun. A lot of the NPCs react differently to you for being a Drow. I’ve been able to deceive or intimidate my way through a lot of dialog. Also Eldritch blast just feels very satisfying to cast in game.
I haven’t encountered any of these “puriteens” yet anywhere thankfully, I don’t really spend any time on twitter though. My opinion boils down to pretty much what everyone else has said here so far. We don’t need a bunch of kids running around trying to tell us what to do and acting like morality police, don’t force religious beliefs onto us, etc. As for the risk of being “Called out”, just ignore it. Even if they get loud about it. Its just a group of teens on Twitter and in the grand scheme of things their opinion about you means fuck all. They will forget about you and move on to the next thing/person to be mad at in less than a week. As for the fandom as a whole being “called out”, I don’t think there is much to “call out”. Furries have not been well received on the internet for a long time and the go to thing to accuse us of is bestiality so they’ve already lost the main thing to “call us out” for. I’ve noticed a shift recently in a more positive direction of the internet’s opinions on furries and I don’t think a loud group of teens on Twitter is going to sway it back the other direction again.

As far as I’m aware that is correct. You could always make an account on lemmynsfw.com or on one that isn’t defederated. I believe lemmy.world and sh.itjust.works are still federated with lemmynsfw.
I just checked and y’all only have 4 blocked instances and lemmynsfw isn’t one of them. You may just have NSFW turned off in your account settings.
Your instance is defederated from lemmynsfw.com which is where like 90% of the porn communities are so it’s going to be a lot harder for you to find
