I never had the desire to hop into a dead online game out of curiosity and I think at least 99.9% of players feel the same way.

I’ve seen it plenty of times. Solitary confinement is torture, punitive beatings are torture. Where I’m from, it’s very common for parents to inflict these forms of torture on their children.

Shitty parents who fetishize rules and uphold them over what is right are very common in my personal, lived experience.
