According to this reddit post, they seem to be a cult pushing pseudo intellectual garbage. They profess to be “anti morality” and against dialectical materialism too, which i find kinda odd.
Most people are not ignorant of being privileged. An ML who is privilege wants to abolish capitalism. A western leftist is typically someone who doesn’t care about imperialism and advocates for social democracy. So I really don’t understand OP’s post. I apologize for being aggressive. I guess that’s why im getting downvoted. But im still genuinely confused as to the meaning of the post.

Most people who join the military are not poor. Some are financially desperate for sure, but most aren’t. They are usually from the middle class and/or from a military family.

I am an ML, and don’t talk to me like I am below you. My point is that Stalin didn’t make that all on his own. So what else today we are not properly analyzing that tomorrow we might recognize as wrong. It’s easy to look back in hindsight and recognize that it was wrong, but it’s another thing to properly analyse some wrongs that are currently happening in our movement or the leftist movement as a whole.
I heard that Stalin made homosexuality illegal.

It looks like gegenstandpunkt/GSP has a positivist view of materialism, which is a materialism without being dialectical. I am concerned about this because if you, or anyone reading this, put gegenstandpunkt in the lemmygrad search engine to find posts/comments you will see an active user heavily influenced by this weird deviation.
It would be nice to have someone here who is German to clear things up cause I’m pretty sure GSP is a cult.
