My grandmother raised chickens and there was rooster that used to harass my mother and her siblings and they hated the rooster. Apparently one day the rooster pecked at my grandmother’s leg and then they had rooster stew for dinner. Point of the story is that roosters are assholes.

Plus Matrix is something that is still new to people and some users are more comfortable with Discord. Many users are still adjusting to the concept of Lemmy and how federation works. Fortunately this bridge will help the two groups connect to each other and maybe in the future we can move to only using Matrix.

The Fediverse is still new and also confusing for a lot of folks. As it grows we will see more trolls and bots. Hopefully we all learn from the mistakes made with Reddit but for now, we should enjoy the calm and try to make it a good/better experience.

I’m an odd one, left back pocket with keys in back right pocket. Although in my defense part of that is because girls pants/jeans typically don’t have front pockets or are so small you can’t put anything bigger than a quarter into them.

I did the same, deleted my Reddit apps off my phone and replaced them with Lemmy apps. There are several options to chose from now which helps.

I assume you are referring to a physical copy of the Sega CD. As long as you still own a Sega CD you can play physical copies of games. Recently PlayStation closed down their online service for PS3 so you cannot access any digital games you may own even if you still have a PS3.

I bounce back and forth between WefWef and Memmy and I think they are both great in their own way.

Or the service is no longer supported. I remember buying some PS3 games digitally but can’t access them on my PS5. Load of BS.

Did you ever listen to The Shadow? They are some phenomenal radio shows from back in the day.

I’ve not heard it called The Rubber Duck Effect, but I do this quite often. Usually end the conversation with “Well, I answered my own question, never mind”.

Your best course of action is typically going to be active listening and being a sounding board. Don’t try to give advice or analyze the situation unless they specifically ask you to and simply affirm their feelings.
